Previously (7:17-24), Paul said that the situational circumstances of one's conversion need not be changed in order for a Believer to be of effective service in God's Kingdom (I.e., if married, stay married. If single, stay single). Paul now applies his principle to a specific situation where a betrothed couple was under pressure to break their "engagement."
